Maison Hart

Welcome to our guesthouse Maison Hart, a charming, tasteful and fully equipped accommodation with terrace and private swimming pool.

The detached gîte is situated on a hill with panoramic views.  Both our own house and the gîte date to 2014 and are located at considerable distance from each other on the one and half hectare grounds. The secluded site offers a lot of privacy and tranquillity in the Dordogne region, known for its many vineyards and wine chateaus.

The layout of Maison Hart is as follows: entrance through covered terrace, spacious living / dining room with wood stove, (sleeping) sofa, open kitchen fully equipped, toilet, one bedroom with a double canopy bed with mosquito net and one room with 2 single beds with mosquito net, separated by a common bathroom with an Italian walk-in shower and Belgian bluestone washbasin. The house has central extraction, air conditioning, underfloor heating, WiFi, JBL speaker and a DVD player with DVDs. A hair dryer, iron / board, washing / drying machine, bed linen, hand, bath and tea towels are at your disposal. In the garden you will find a lovely petanque court.

A mere two kilometres away is the authentic 13th century bastide town of Eymet which has a variety of restaurants and a lively market every Thursday. Every Tuesday evening Eymet hosts a Marché Nocturne (night market) where local artists display their goods.

The Dordogne / Lot-et-Garonne region with its rolling countryside is ideal for exploring by bike. Other local attractions and activities include canoeing on the Dordogne, visiting one of the many castles and bastide towns, browsing one of the many brocantes, a trip to the Lascaux caves, shopping in Bergerac, Perigueux, Sarlat or Bordeaux and enjoying a relaxed Sunday picnic lunch underneath the trees at Soumensac (one of the many Marches Gourmands of the region).

For a relaxed start to your holiday we will provide you with a delicious and fresh breakfast basket the first morning of your stay in Agnac, which you can enjoy ‘al fresco’ on the terrace in front of the gîte.
